South Derbyshire IVMDay Event

Thursday 5th November is International Volunteer Managers Day, when South Derbyshire’s Volunteer Managers are invited to join the Volunteer Centre team for a training and networking session at Rickman’s Corner Community Centre between 09:30 and 12:30.

The session will help you to “Make The Most Of Your Volunteers’ Talents”.

Make the best use of your existing resources and create a ‘win-win’ environment for your volunteers, your service users and your organisation by exploring: 

~ Issues involved in adapting the levels of responsibility within volunteer roles to give experienced or highly skilled volunteers the opportunity to use their skills and knowledge to their full potential

~ Assessment techniques to identify the skills and talents of both existing and new volunteers

~ The impact of roles with increased responsibility within your organisation in terms of volunteer motivation, relationship between paid and unpaid staff, relationship between new and existing volunteers
